The Business Intelligence Group today announced Zimperium’s zIAP as the winner of the 2019 Fortress Cyber Security Mobile Application Security Award. This is zIAP’s second consecutive win.
The business award program identifies and rewards the world’s leading companies and products working to keep data and electronic assets safe among a growing threat from hackers.
zIAP – the only enterprise-grade SDK available – protects applications from attacks and resulting fraud. zIAP has been deployed via an enterprise organization’s mobile app to over 40+ million devices, identifying 150 million threats in 2018 alone.
“We are so proud to name Zimperium’s zIAP as a winner in the Fortress Cyber Security Awards program,” said Maria Jimenez, Chief Nominations Officer, Business Intelligence Group. “It was clear to our expert judges Zimperium’s group of innovators and innovations are the tip of the spear helping to prepare, defend and respond to the growing threat of cyber attacks. Congratulations to the entire Zimperium team.”
zIAP – Fortress Cyber Security Mobile Application Security Award
Over the last five years, Zimperium’s machine learning-based engine, z9, detected 100 percent of zero-day mobile exploits in the wild without requiring updates. zIAP embeds the z9 engine inside mobile applications so it can determine if a device is compromised. zIAP informs the app and initiates risk mitigation actions, such as:
- Invalidated session / log out
- Destroy the keys / delete the cache
- Raise fraud alert
- Increase authentication requirements
- Reduce functionality to read-only
With zIAP, organizations cut down on the time and effort it takes to ensure their apps are continuously updated with the latest security features. Protection is an App Store/Google Play update away. Once updated, security is delivered, which means 100 percent adoption rates.
Additionally, zIAP provides the capability to ensure security almost instantly. The downloadable zIAP SDK embeds into a mobile app and is made available to customers in less than 15 minutes. Not only does no other organization have a similar in-app solution, but the other partial solutions existing are cumbersome, taking significantly longer to implement.
“In 2018, we launched a new architecture for zIAP, our industry-leading, machine learning-based mobile security solution developed specifically to embed into existing mobile apps with virtually unlimited scalability,” said Michael Callahan, CMO of Zimperium. “This award is a direct reflection of the dedication of our entire team who continues to innovate and strive for excellence.”
