Customers to benefit from industry’s most detailed application risk and privacy reporting
DALLAS, JUNE 13, 2018– Zimperium, the global leader in mobile device security, has broadened its portfolio of mobile device security solutions by acquiring Mi3 Security, a leader in machine learning based application security. Mi3’s Security RECON Platform will be incorporated into the Zimperium z3A (advanced application analysis) solution.
There are over 7 million applications available in the public application stores and mobile application vulnerabilities increasing at more than 100% per year. And considering that many applications are downloaded and brought directly into the work environments of enterprises worldwide, mobile applications are a lucrative attack target. By combining Mi3 and the z3A solution, customers gain added visibility into mobile application behaviors and forensic-level security data. The resulting benefits include:
“We have had a very strong OEM relationship for several years with the team at Mi3 Security, delivering industry leading advanced application intelligence to our customers,” said Zimperium Chief Strategy Officer Jon Paterson. “Now we are able to integrate the full application security RECON platform with our zPlatform to deliver deeper and broader application security options for our customers.”
“We are very excited to be joining the Zimperium team,” said Kevin Mullenex, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Mi3 Security. “From the initial partnership discussion through today, Zimperium has been a key strategic partner and we look forward to combining our teams and efforts to bring even more innovation application security solutions to the market.”
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Mi3 Security is based in Mountain View, California.
